THE CLUB
We are a friendly family orientated club, which is growing in stature and still very ambitious, with a vibrant membership which is gradually growing.
All members are treated equally and we are keen on recruiting new bowlers and bringing them through to represent the club and county.
Over the past twenty years the club membership has grown steadily and although not the strongest club playing wise we still manage to win the occasional county competition and have people in the top county teams.
Several members are well established as county and league officials, plus others are umpires and coaches.
Off the green we have nurtured a wonderful family atmosphere within the club and we always have a willing army of volunteers in all areas of our activities.
During the winter we have several social events which are very well supported and we even have friends from other clubs who clamour for invitations to these social gatherings
CLUBHOUSE
' The Margaret Catchpole Bowls Club was awarded full planning permission by the Ipswich Borough Council to go ahead with their proposed project of extending the existing Clubhouse by doubling the present size. This was completed and the Grand Opening took place in June 2022
The Club now invites local residents and local groups to show interest in making use of this new facility. The old Clubhouse area will become the hall which will be available to rent at very competitive rates.
If you or any group that you belong to would be interested in using the new facility would you please make your intentions know by contacting Charlie Sharp on 07801 473428 or by email on cws45@sky.com to discuss further'
